Wet'n'Wild Fergie Line Swatches: Glamorous, Hollywood Walk of Fame and Mountain High

The other day I slammed my hand in the door and have this big ugly bruise under my nail.  It'll grow out but all it can do is grow up meaning I won't be wearing sheer nail polish for a loooong time.  I put acrylics on for about a week but it was still so visible that it made no difference.  Now, my nails and skin have to recover from the acrylics (you'll see they are so wrecked right now!!)  Total first world problem.  Anywho...

These are the last of my Fergie polishes.   I swatched these over bare nails and black (and white for Mountain High) so that you may see the differences.
 RIP Acrylics :( :( :( :( :(
Glamour and Hollywood Walk of Fame

Everyone who has ever read a blog reviewing Hollywood Walk of Fame knows that this polish is a pain in the ass.  It's pretty (rainbow stars!!) and Fergie has a pretty good formula but ugh.  After a few hours the points of the stars will start to lift, no matter how much top coat you put on, and you will be scratching your face up and ripping holes in your pretty silk shirts.  Still, fun for a night of wear!
Mountain High

Mountain High is gorgeous in the bottle.  Not so much on the nails. It's just too sheer so you have to put it over another color and the iridescent flakes don't pop.  This one doesn't do it for me.  I love the color in the bottle and the idea of it.. it just doesn't translate well in real life.

I got sucked into the Christmas and New Year's sales... there'll be some *cough millions cough* of polishes coming up.

Wet'n'Wild Fergie Line Swatches: Emerald Rock City, Caribbean Coral, Ferga-colada

Today I have three more Fergie Line swatches for you!  This new camera is great, however, it's so crisp that you can see how dry my hands really are - jeez!

Emerald Rock City
Emerald Rock City is a pretty hunter green with silver shimmer running throughout.  This had a great formula and a 2 coater.

Caribbean Coral
Caribbean Coral is a coral based pink (or the reverse depending on lighting!).  This is very neon and, therefore, my favorite of this bunch. (The second picture is with flash)

Ferga-colada
Ferga-colada is between a light and medium yellow creme.  Pretty good formula for a yellow I must say!

Next up: Fergie's No Place Like Home, Rock N' Roll and Tonight's Gonna Be A Good Night.

Wet'n'Wild Fergie Line Swatches: Dutchess, Blue Eyed Soul, Miami Spirit

Well, I'm back!  I got a new camera for the holidays and I'm still learning how to use it, so get ready for some different looking pics!  I'd love to swatch the Wet'n'Wild Fergie line for you all.  I don't have all of them but I do have quite a few.  They are so inexpensive and the colors/glitters are pretty unique for it being a drugstore brand.  I, also, love the big wide brush.

Dutchess
Dutchess has various small sized blue and purple glitter in a clear base.  This one has a nice formula for application but it's just too sheer to be opaque on it's own (unless you want to have tons of coats on your nail!).  The first picture is 4 coats alone.  I did 2 coats in the other two pictures (except over black, that's one coat) and I think it would take at least 5 to be opaque.  It dries semi matte so it lacks that oomph needed in the pics. It's a very pretty topper though.  I should've swatched it over blue - that looks so nice.

Blue Eyed Soul
Blue Eyed Soul has such a great formula.  Blue Eyed Soul is a one to two coater navy blue metallic.  I don't think I have any blues like this in my collection!  I could swear I see a purple duochrome in there but maybe I am seeing what I want to see.

Miami Spirit
Miami Spirit - you either really like it or you feel meh about it.  It doesn't photograph accurately for me so I'll do my best to describe it.  Miami Spirit dries semi matte and it's a little bit more of a yellow based green than what the pictures are showing.  Good formula and could, also, be a one coater.

More coming up!
