Rainbow Haul and Swatches: Part 3 Finale (The Berry Obsession Trio)

Last but not least is the Berry Obsession trio!  I was eyeing these for awhile and, during the Rainbow Honey sale, decided to bite the bullet and just get them already! I'm happy I did because these are really nice and perfect for this cold weather.  I do like that the names contain exclamation marks.. a very enthusiastic collection.  

Blackberry Obsession!

Blackberry Obsession! is a medium-deep purple with lighter purple shimmer.  Nice formula and this was 2 coats.

Blueberry Obsession!

Blueberry Obsession! is a medium-deep blue, basically a navy, with lighter blue shimmer. This was 2 coats.

 

  

Raspberry Obsession!

Raspberry Obsession! is a coral based pink with a pink shimmer.  This was two coats and slightly textured.  Also 2 coats.

Well, that's it for my Rainbow Honey order.  I'm sure there will be another one in the near future ;)

Rainbow Haul and Swatches: Part 2

Continuing my Rainbow Honey swatches!

The Kraken

The Kraken is a blue/green jelly with blue and silver small and medium-sized glitter.  This was two coats and a great formula for a polish that is so full of glitter.

Cool Beans!

Cool Beans! is a medium brown creme with gold glitter throughout.  This is so pretty but doesn't seem to photograph as nice as it looks in real life!  This is two coats and a perfect formula.

Creme De Caramel (bottle shot in artificial light with my cellphone. I forgot to take a bottle shot in my lightbox!)

Creme De Caramel is a medium-deep mustard yellow creme.  It goes on streaky but this is a (mostly) self leveling polish.  I was okay with three coats. Another color that makes my camera think it's having a disco party.

Explosions In The Sky and The Soiree

Explosions In The Sky and The Soiree are both over black as they are both glitters in a light or clear base.  These are great. Explosions In The Sky has a variety of different colored round and bar glitters in a mostly clear iridescent blue shimmer base and The Soiree has an iridescent blue shimmer base with blue, green, purple and silver glitters. (yikes, say that three times fast! Hello, run-on sentence!!) Both apply thickly but that is to be expected with such fully packed glitters! Two coats over black but really only needed one.

Tessie

Tessie was a bit gloopy when first applied but once heated up, gloop-be-gone.  This haul has a few polishes (in the previous post) that were gloopy when cold but they've been sitting in my warm room so I'm confused there!  I won't be putting thinner in them as they are perfectly fine when manually warmed up.

Rainbow Honey Haul and swatches: Part 1 (AKA Why my credit card should be taken away)

Happy New Years!  Just in time for my New Year resolution to stop buying when I see the word "sale", I got a delivery! I always get sucked into the end of year sales.  At this point the companies should just assume I want it all and casually invoice me.  Rainbow Honey had a great sale going and I'm a sucker.

My damage which, right now, doesn't seem too bad:

Apple Kid

Apple Kid is a pretty medium pink with a slight purple/blue shimmer throughout.  I'm not going to lie, Rainbow Honey always has a great formula but this was getting goopy on me.  It's freezing outside so that could have something to do with it but I've had these for a few days which is enough time to warm up and get to a normal consistency.  Blah.  Blurgh.

I Wanna Love!

I Wanna Love! is a light pink purple with little glitters floating around.  This is my black/blue dress.  I can't for the life of me decide if this is pink or purple!  I think it's purple.  You can see where this started going gloopy on me.  But after swatching, I held the bottle in my hands to warm up a bit and problem solved! No longer gloop city.  (Apple Kid not so much)

Laguna Grande

Laguna Grande is a pretty based blue with light green/yellow shimmers and flakes.  May not be flattering for all skin tones but still pretty nonethless. Perfect formula, a little sheer.  My camera didn't like this one.  Every picture of my nails came out blurry and I had to give up. 

Waves

Waves is a beautiful bright green/teal shimmer. This is mermaid poop.
