Butter London Steampunk Brass Goggles, Dubs, Pink Ribbon, Earl Grey and Right As Rain (Part 7)

Butter London Brass Goggles
Brass Goggles is a black and gold glitter topper. This was three heavy coats.  You will never get this one opaque on it's own.. don't even bother.

Butter London Dubs
Dubs is a feminine pink and silver glitter.  Fantastic formula. This was two coats and can be worn on it's own.
Butter London Pink Ribbon
As you can see, Pink Ribbon is not pink at all.  It's sheer off white.  Very nice, actually. I don't normally like these milky whites but this one works for some reason.  Great for a job interview and a base for delicate nail art.  This was 3 somewhat thin coats.

Butter London Earl Grey
Earl Grey is a metallic dark grey with silver shimmer. Very streaky but this is more obvious in the pictures. In person it looks a bit smoother.  This is a thick formula so two coats was enough.

Butter London Right As Rain
Right As Rain is my favorite of this group.  A slightly metallic periwinkle blue with silver shimmer.  Wow.

Zoya Black's and a Grey! Zoya Storm, Imogen, Anais and London

On to Black and Grey Zoya's:

Storm
Storm is described as:
a full coverage, holiday black with a high concentration of micro fine diamond holographic glitter. Storm is elegant, powerful and versatile

Imogen
Imogen is described as:
a black crystal Magical PixieDust with holographic hex glitter, the perfect complement to a brighter shade or an accent for nail art.

Anais
Anais is not on the website as it was part of a promo last year but it's a brown black with a very mild olive duochrome that does not transfer to the nail. It is a bit sheer and took 3 coats to look like this.

London
London is described as:
a fog gray with a sugared sparkle, in the exclusive Zoya PixieDust Matte Sparkle formula.

Next up, golds and nudes (wink wink)!

Smokey Mountain Lacquer Un-Teal The End, Cauldron Stew and Halo

Happy Saturday, All!

I haven't posted in quite a bit but, as we all know, life happens and gets in the way.

Today I have three Smokey Mountain Lacquer's for you...

SML Un-Teal The End
Un-Teal The End is a dark green (with a blue tone) with a green gold shimmer running throughout.  Beautiful color that I can't wait to wear in the Fall.

SML Cauldron Stew
Cauldron Stew caught my eye the second I saw it swatched matte.   However, when I received it, it turned out I like it better glossy.   Can you see how glossy it is?  I couldn't keep the light off of it!

SML Halo
I LOVE this!  Halo is a soft white with a green shimmer.  If caught in the right light you will see the shimmer on the nail. However, I think that even when in normal lighting, this polish has so much life.  The green is almost ethereal and a winner in my book.

Wingdust Funhouse and Signet Unbreakable, Peeno Noir, Lapis Lazuli

Signet Unbreakable, Peeno Noir, Lapis Lazuli

 Wingdust Funhouse and Signet Unbreakable

 Wingdust Funhouse closeup

Windust Funhouse is what I refer to as a “sweet” light purple with multi colored glitter.  You don’t have to dig too much for the glitter, which is a relief.

Described on Llarowe as “Creamy, pale purple base, soft blue shimmer. Glitters in neon pink, aqua, purple, all shapes and sizes including but not limited to stars, triangles, and hex!  The swatches I’ve seen are more colorful than this actually is in person.  I used four coats here and still could not get it rich in color.   I’ll have to try it over a purple or white base next.

You can purchase Wingdust on their Etsy site: Wingdust.

Signet Unbreakable closeup

Signet Unbreakable is a fun multi colored glitter in a clear base. Described as “a cheery and vibrant glitter topper. Pink and yellow squares, mint hexes, purple butterflies and a playful shimmer make up this clear glitter topper.“ I’d love this to be a little more opaque on it’s own.  Would be super fun over a pink, purple or green base.  Reminds me of the circus!

Signet Peeno Noir

Signet Peeno Noir closeup

Described as “a really sassy glitter jelly polish with a black base. Magenta holo hex, tiny silver squares, and a speckling of larger glitters“.  It has a lot of three dimensional depth to it and dries semi-matte.
Signet Lapis Lazuli

Signet Lapis Lazuli closeup

Lapus Lazuli is described as “complex blue stone” sheer crelly with a satin finish.  I feel like I have a million of these blue jelly polishes due to an blue jelly phase I went through a few months ago.

Unfortunately, Signet closed its doors recently so maybe you can find these resale.  It’s always sad to see an indie seller close their shop and I wish Lauren even more future success.

Madam Glam (Part 2)

Madam Glam Lilac Blues

Lilac Blues is a coral based light pink with purple shimmer throughout.   Unfortunately this doesn’t translate to the nail as much as I’d like.  Quite sheer on the first coat but has an excellent formula and builds up nicely after two coats.

Madam Glam Drink With Me

Drink With me is a dark purple with a light purple/red shimmer throughout.  Three coats due to some slight patchiness.  This is so pretty and perfect for Fall.

Madam Glam My Precious

My Precious is a black with silver microglitter.  Four whopping coats to cover some patchiness.

Madam Glam polishes dry pretty quickly and have pretty great formulas.  No staining from the colors I purchased.
